A healthy male body exists out of fat for 10 to 20%. A healthy woman's body consists for 20 to 30% out of fat. Overweight individuals may even exist for more than 50% of fat. Part of this fat is white fat, some is brown fat. This is an important difference which also plays a big role in losing weight. But what exactly is the difference between brown and white fat?

Brown fat has many advantages compared to white fat. Besides the color, there are many important differences. Especially with a view to weight loss, the amount of brown fat in the body can make a difference. Research has shown that brown fat helps with weight loss. White fat stores the excess calories. Brown fat consumes energy to keep the body warm. This is because white fat is used as storage. Brown fat has the aim of
generating body heat. This is generated by consuming fat and glucose. This obviously has a positive effect on your weight. White fat doesn't have that advantage.

Research has shown that in lean persons the amount of brown fat is greater than in overweight individuals. People who are overweight have just too much white fat.

Brown fat has many advantages compared to white fat. Brown fat will help you lose weight.
